One of the top universities in the UK is the University of Liverpool, offering a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and research programmes in addition to a few online ones. Liverpool John Moores University, also known as LJMU, is a public research university also well-ranked. 

For programmes leading to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees, all of the city’s universities offer a choice of study options. Students can also apply for courses and programmes through Erasmus that grant academic credit.

There are plenty of cheap eats and cosy cafes to meet up with student friends and to study. And public transport offers 68 train stations in Merseyside, and four city centre underground stations making it easy to get around the city.

Nightlife in Liverpool 

Most students in Liverpool would agree that the nightlife is both pretty ace plus affordable. In fact, the bars and nightclubs are so popular that students from all over the North of England are travelling to the city to experience it. You don’t need to be a serious football fan to enjoy a game of football in Liverpool. It’s easy to get carried away by the city’s football fever and watching a game at the famous Anfield Stadium – the home of Liverpool FC, is an experience of a lifetime. And as an international student you’ll enjoy the atmosphere and the chanting from all the fans. The city is proud of its team since it has enjoyed great success in the English League, Champions League, and it currently holds the most European Cup titles of any football club. There’s even a Liverpool FC museum for those wanting to learn more about the football club’s history.
